How to play Krillion Infinite
You get 7 prompts — “Name a country with the letter D in its name” — and 25 seconds per prompt to type one answer. The catch: the obvious answer is worth almost nothing. The rarer your answer, the more it scores, and the deeper you dive.
The rules, step by step
1. Read the prompt. Every dive deals 7 prompts. In the daily dive they are the same for every player that day; in Unlimited they are freshly drawn from the 330-prompt bank.
2. Type one answer before the sonar runs out. You have 25 seconds. Spelling close to a banked answer? The game offers a correction — submit again to confirm it. An answer that is not in the bank scores nothing, so a plausible guess beats a blank every time.
3. Watch your tier reveal. Your answer lands in a rarity tier, from Plankton (everyone said it) to One in a Krillion (almost nobody did). Points are added and your diver sinks — 10 metres per point.
4. Finish all 7 and surface. Your results show the full dive log, your score against the day's players, and your verdict — from “Plankton. Plenty of ocean left down there” to “One in a krillion. Trench dweller. Absurd.”
The tiers at a glance
| Tier | Points | Depth per answer | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🫧 Plankton | 10 pts | 100m | The answer everyone blurts out. |
| 🤡 Too Clever | 15 pts | 150m | A famously “obscure” pick. Everyone reaches for it. |
| 🐟 Schooler | 30 pts | 300m | Solid — swims with the school. |
| 🦑 Rare | 60 pts | 600m | Genuinely uncommon. Nice pull. |
| 🏮 Deep Cut | 85 pts | 850m | True obscurity. Few go this deep. |
| 🌟 One in a Krillion | 100 pts | 1000m | The designated gem. Trench floor. |
A perfect dive — seven One in a Krillion answers — scores 700 points and reaches the trench floor at 7,000m. Almost nobody does it. A strong everyday dive, mixing Rare and Deep Cut answers, lands between 300 and 450.
Three rules worth remembering
The first answer is a trap. Whatever pops into your head instantly popped into everyone's. It is Plankton by definition. Let it pass and think of the second or third answer.
Beware the Too Clever tier. Some answers feel obscure but are famously “the obscure pick” — everyone reaches for them. They score 15, barely above Plankton. True rarity is quieter than that.
A blank is the only real mistake. An unlisted answer and a timeout both score 0. With five seconds left, type your best plausible answer — Schooler points beat no points.
