What is Krillion Infinite?
Krillion Infinite is a free browser game about rarity. Every day it deals 7 prompts — “Name an island nation”, “Name a food made by mashing” — and scores your answers not on whether they are right, but on how few other players would give them. Obvious answers float. Rare answers sink you toward a 7,000-metre trench. One dive a day counts; everything else is endless.
How it works, in one minute
A prompt appears with a 25-second sonar clock. You type one answer. If the answer is in the prompt's bank, it scores by its rarity tier — from Plankton, the answer everyone gives, to One in a Krillion, the answer almost nobody finds. Every point is also 10 metres of depth. Seven prompts later you surface with a score, a depth, a dive log and a verdict. Tomorrow, a new set of prompts arrives for everyone at midnight.
| Tier | Points | Depth per answer | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🫧 Plankton | 10 pts | 100m | The answer everyone blurts out. |
| 🤡 Too Clever | 15 pts | 150m | A famously “obscure” pick. Everyone reaches for it. |
| 🐟 Schooler | 30 pts | 300m | Solid — swims with the school. |
| 🦑 Rare | 60 pts | 600m | Genuinely uncommon. Nice pull. |
| 🏮 Deep Cut | 85 pts | 850m | True obscurity. Few go this deep. |
| 🌟 One in a Krillion | 100 pts | 1000m | The designated gem. Trench floor. |
The “Infinite” part
The daily dive is deliberately finite — one shared set, one attempt. Infinite is everything around it: Unlimited mode dealing fresh prompts forever, Marathon's 21-prompt descents, category packs that isolate one shelf of the bank, challenge links that turn any word into a shared head-to-head dive, and an archive that keeps every day's prompts and answers permanently. The bank behind it all holds 330 prompts and grows by study, not by scraping: each prompt's answers are ranked by hand into tiers.
How the answers and tiers are made
Each prompt is written with its crowd in mind. The ranking starts from the response a room full of people gives first, follows the fashionable “clever” pick that internet culture reaches for, and ends in the long tail: answers that are valid, specific, and almost never volunteered under time pressure. Those judgements are fixed when the prompt is published — the same answer always earns the same tier — which keeps challenges fair and makes the published answers a genuine training resource rather than a moving target.
Krillion Infinite is an independent fan game. It is not affiliated with krillion.io; the name honours the genre the original defined — rarity trivia — the way a new chess site honours chess.
